With the belief that Africa’s small-scale farmers can revolutionize the continent’s food production landscape, software engineer Ayodeji Arikawe launched Thrive Agric while studying for his master’s at Lagos University. By leveraging its proprietary technology, the Agricultural Operating System (AOS), Thrive-Agric drives food production and profitability for smallholders. The digital platform connects farmers to financing, markets, training, best practices, data-driven advisory services, and other benefits in Nigeria’s agricultural ecosystem. Over the past five years, Thrive-Agric has grown its network of farmers exponentially from 500 to more than 700,000 and impacted over 2,600 communities.
