About ABH:

Africa’s Business Heroes (ABH) is the flagship philanthropic initiative of the Jack Ma Foundation in Africa, launched in 2019. The program is dedicated to supporting and strengthening the African entrepreneurial ecosystem by identifying, celebrating, and empowering outstanding entrepreneurs across the continent.

Over a 10-year period, ABH will recognize and support 100 exceptional African entrepreneurs through storytelling, training, mentorship, and grant funding.

About ABH Judges:

ABH Judges are experienced professionals, investors, and entrepreneurs who play a critical role in identifying and supporting some of Africa’s most talented and impactful founders.

Judges contribute by reviewing online applications and/or participating in virtual interviews with shortlisted finalists. Your insights and expertise directly shape the selection of the next Africa’s Business Heroes.

Your Impact as a Judge

Your contribution will help identify the next cohort of ABH finalists—entrepreneurs who will have the opportunity to win up to $300,000 in grant funding, while gaining access to global exposure, mentorship, and training opportunities.

Who will you be evaluating?

You will assess some of Africa’s most promising entrepreneurs across multiple sectors—each with at least three years of demonstrated traction and real market validation.
